Blogger Spotlight Series: Meet Ingrid of Fabulous and Fun Life
Welcome to my new series: Blogger Spotlight where I profile my favourite beauty bloggers and get to know them, their blogging journey, fave products and advice for budding bloggers through a quick Q&A.
This week the blogger spotlight is shining brightly on a blogger babe who hosts one hell of a link up party, bringing beauty bloggers together and creating a supportive community. I have had the pleasure of meeting her at a few beauty events and she is such a beautiful person, inside and out.
Meet the fabulous, by name and nature, Ingrid from Fabulous and Fun Life.
WHAT'S THE NAME OF YOUR BLOG AND IS THERE A STORY BEHIND THE NAME?
Fabulous and Fun Life was named to inspire and encourage both myself and my readers to live the most fabulous and fun life possible at every age of our life.
HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN BLOGGING?
I started blogging in August 2014, so over 2 1/2 years now!
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE NOT BLOGGING?
I'm a busy mum of three kids, two of whom are studying for their HSC this year. Yes, the oldest two are twins, and random fact: they were born on leap day.
I'm a qualified physiotherapist and ergonomist and work for a large organisation that is currently undergoing a major restructure.
HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR BLOGGING CAREER TO DATE
The highlight of my blogging career to date has been starting the weekly Monday Makeup Madness link ups with the aim of sharing some beauty blogger love and strengthening our beauty blogger community. I have made some great friends through these link ups and can't believe we are almost up to 100 link ups!
I'm also proud of the Monday Makeup Madness Pinterest Group Board I host. All beauty bloggers are most welcome to join this board.
Other highlights have included meeting various beauty and fashion bloggers in person at blogger events I've been lucky enough to attend. Meeting Nikki Parkinson from Styling You and participating in her Selfie workshop was another definite highlight which inspired me to introduce some fashion posts into Fabulous and Fun Life too.

BLOGS YOU LOVE TO READ + FOLLOW
I haven't come across a beauty blog that I haven't enjoyed reading!
In addition to beauty blogs I also love reading fashion blogs such as Styling You, Iris May Style, Style Loving 2, icurvy, and Styling Curvy.
BLOGGERS YOU ADMIRE
I admire ALL bloggers no matter where they are in their blogging journey! Putting yourself out there on the internet is a brave thing to do! Blogging is also such a time consuming activity and you need so many skills including writing, photography, editing, time management, product knowledge and sourcing, negotiation, communication, and an understanding of what your audience wants to read, see and learn about, and the list goes on...
WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE LOOKING TO BECOME A BEAUTY BLOGGER
Start blogging because you love it and are passionate about it.
Make friends and network with other bloggers. They will 'get' you and what you are doing. They will be your best support network.
Don't compare yourself with other bloggers. We all have different goals and are at different stages of our blogging careers.
