Antipodes 'Joyful' Hand & Body Cream Review
Winter is definitely here and I am sure I am not alone when I say that my skin is one of the first things to be affected by the drop in temperature. My once glowing, hydrated skin starts to become dry, scaly and flaky due to being rugged up in my favourite coats, hours spent inside in front of the heater and because of the cold bite in the air.
So now is definitely the time to have a quality body lotion on hand (pardon the pun!). One thing I am very particular about when I get hand and body creams is the formula. I personally can't stand when my skin is left feeling oily or with a greasy film or residue after it has been applied. I like a hydrating formula which is lightweight and absorbs quickly so it has that barely there feeling while making my skin feel soft and smooth.
Believe me, it is not easy to find a cream which meets all of these standards but I am excited to announce that all of my skincare prayers have been answered thanks to this luscious tube of Antipodes 'Joyful' Hand & Body Cream. I am obsessed with this cream and have been using it morning and night since receiving it and my skin has never felt better!
Here are my first impressions and thoughts upon opening and applying the Antipodes 'Joyful' Hand & Body Cream.
As soon as I unscrewed the cap I was greeted by a beautiful, fruity scent and was immediately transported to a tropical island. This is a fragrance I could definitely get used to smelling on the daily!
I squeezed a dollop of the cream onto the back of my hand (the size of a ten cent piece) and rubbed the backs of my hands together before massaging into the palms of my hands, through my fingers and along my wrists and forearms. A little bit of this cream definitely goes a long way and it left my hands feeling velvety smooth.
A few minutes after application the cream had completely absorbed, there were no traces of greasy film or oily residue and my hands felt nourished and smelt delicious!
The 120ml tube is the perfect size to throw in your bag to apply on your daily commute or keep by your bed as a reminder to apply morning and night.
I have been using this cream on my hands morning and night for the last 4 days and I can already see and feel a huge improvement! The backs of my hands feel softer, smoother and the overall complexion of my skin looks healthier and hydrated. The cuticle beds around my nails, which are often dry and flaky, are completely moisturised which makes my manicure look amazing. I am definitely going to continue to use this cream daily (twice daily during the colder months) so by the time Summer rolls around my skin is hydrated to perfection!
Now that you've read my first impressions and experience with this cream let's get some finer details about 'Joyful' and the Antipodes brand.
