Thursday Plantation Essential Oils Review

Marisa Robinson Makeup Artist Thursday Plantation

Essential oils are a popular choice for household chores such as cleaning, stain removal and killing germs but did you know that they also offer great beauty and health benefits too?

Thursday Plantation has a range of 100% pure oils which are all natural and are free from SLS, parabens, synthetics and fillers so they contain no nasties and are safe for you and your family.

I was lucky enough to be gifted their Eucalyptus Oil and Tea Tree Oil and apart from making cleaning a breeze and removing pesky adhesive marks I have enjoyed incorporating them into my routine to improve my overall health and wellness.

Below I share some great ways you and your loved ones can benefit from these multipurpose oils too!

There is no better way to end the weekend than with a long, hot bath! But when I am out of bath bombs I like to add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to the tub to create a soothing at home spa with a fresh fragrance. If you love the aroma you can also add a couple of drops to an oil burner - not only does it make the house smell great but it helps me unwind and relax!

You're only a few drops away from softer skin! Mix eucalyptus oil with coconut oil and massage onto the skin for a fast hydrating and deep treatment!

If you feel a cold coming on you can temporarily relieve symptoms by mixing a couple of drops of eucalyptus oil in hot water and inhaling the steam. My mum swore by this when my brother and I were growing up and it is still a lifesaver to this day!

If you have sore muscles or joints massage some eucalyptus oil over the affected area to soothe. I find this remedy particularly useful for period pain. I simply rub a couple of drops in a circular motion directly onto my lower back and within minutes I feel the oil warm up as it absorbs into my skin and provides instant relief.

Tea tree oil is a powerful antiseptic ideal for treating sores, stings and abrasions. Apply a small amount to the affected area with a cotton tip to help soothe but for your safety be sure to keep it away from your eyes and mouth.

Next time you're cleaning your makeup brushes consider adding a couple of drops of tea tree oil to baby shampoo and then wash your brushes. The tea tree oil kills bacteria leaving you with soft, clean brushes!

Got a pesky pimple you need to get rid of stat? Tea tree oil is a natural alternative to benzoyl peroxide and is proven to help eliminate spots and acne! Simple apply to the problem area (not the whole face) using a cotton tip each night for cleaner, clearer skin!

Did you know tea tree oil can also be used to get rid of dandruff? Before going to bed rub some tea tree oil onto your scalp and comb through your hair. Leave in overnight and wash out in the morning with shampoo. Another method you can try is mixing some tea tree oil in with your shampoo, by diluting the oil it won't be as harsh against your scalp but it a much gentler alternative to other dandruff solutions.

Each bottle of Thursday Plantation Essential Oil has a child proof push down and turn lid but I would still recommend keeping these oils in a medicine cabinet and out of reach as they are poisonous and aren't to be consumed.

Like all remedies, these oils are best used with caution. Before you use these products always read the label and use only as directed. Thursday Plantation recommend a skin patch test prior to use and if you experience any sensitivity or skin irritation consult your doctor.

Do not use these oils...
While pregnant or breast-feeding without medical supervision
Near eyes. Seek medical attention if contact occurs
On children under 2 years old
Undiluted on children under 12 years old. Skin patch test prior to use
