Get The Look: Sephora Exclusive Brands Makeup Look
Hi, my name is Marisa and I am addicted to Sephora.
Like I mentioned in my Sephora Exclusive Brands Showcase 2016 blog post, I proudly hold the highest membership in both Australia and America and it is safe to say Sephora is my playground! Even when I visit the store and think there couldn't possibly be anything I 'need', I manage to shop up a storm!
So I definitely wasn't short of options when I decided to create a Sephora exclusive brands makeup look - the hardest part was deciding what to use (definitely not a bad problem to have)!
For foundation I used the it Cosmetics CC+ Veil Beauty Fluid Foundation* in shade Medium. This is a cushion compact foundation and the coverage it provides is amazing while still being lightweight. I applied it to my face and blended it down my neck using the included applicator.
Conceal and brighten under the eyes using the it Cosmetics 'Bye Bye Under Eye Illumination Concealer'* (coming soon to Sephora Australia) to get rid of any dark circles and blend out using a damp Beautyblender.
For this look I wanted to create a gorgeous glow so before setting my base I used my index finger and dabbed a small about of Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops in 'Moonlight' (coming soon to Sephora Australia) to the high points of my face (brow bone, cupids bow, tops of cheekbones, bridge of nose).
Once done, set the eyes using the Laura Mercier Loose Translucent Setting Powder.
To really emphasise my highlight I used a fan brush and mixed 'Taffy' and 'Butterscotch' from the Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Sweets' Glow Palette and dusted it over the same high points of the face where I applied the Cover FX drops.
Comb your natural brow hairs into shape using the spoolie brush on the Benefit Cosmetics Goof Proof Eyebrow Pencil*. Once done turn it around and fill in your brows using the pencil at the opposite end (I used shade 3 - medium), combing through with the spoolie brush to blend.
To further define and get my brows on point, I used the Benefit Cosmetics ka-Brow Eyebrow Cream Gel Colour* (in shade 3 - medium) using the built in brush and feathering at the centre and creating a sharp tail at each end.
To set any natural brow hairs in place, I lightly applied the Benefit Cosmetics Ready, Set Brow!*
For my eyes I wanted to create a pink/orange sunset haze so I used shades from the Anastasia Beverly Hills 'Modern Renaissance Eye Shadow Palette' (I will list the shadow names below) but feel free to use your favourite eyeshadows to create this look.
Prep the eyelids using the Kat Von D Lock It Colour Correcting Eyeshadow Primer* and then apply a neutral matte nude shadow (I used 'Tempera') over the top to create a smooth base.
With a fluffy blending brush, apply a burnt orange matte shadow into the crease (I used 'Burnt Orange'). Go back and forth in a fast, light handed motion to blend and create a transition shade.
Once done, pick up a reddish brown shadow (I used 'Red Ochre') and apply it to the outer corner of the mobile lid to create some depth. Then in the centre of the eyelid place a fuchsia pink shade (I used 'Love Letter') and then on the inner lid apply an orange shade (I used 'Realgar'). Then with a clean fluffy brush lightly blend to fuse the shades on the lid together and to soften any harsh lines.
Line the upper lash line with the Kat Von D 'Tattoo Liner' and flick out at the ends to create an on point wing.
For the lower lash line, I used a smudger brush and applied the same three shadows (in the same order ('Red Ochre' on the outer lower lash line, 'Love Letter' in the centre lower lash line and 'Realgar' on the inner lower lash line). Then lightly blend over the top of both shades with a soft pencil brush brush to smoke it out. Then line the inner waterline using a black kohl eyeliner.
To add a glisten and highlight to the inner corner of the eye I applied a shimmery gold shadow (I used 'Primavera') using the tip of a pencil brush.
Coat the lashes with the Tarte Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara* (coming soon to Sephora Australia) before applying a glam set of Velour Silk Lashes for some lash drama! Then apply a second coat of mascara to fuse the false lashes with your natural lashes. To define the lash line and hide the lash band, sweep the Sephora Liquid Liner over the top lash line.
For this look I used the Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in 'Noble' for the perfect petal pink, nude pout!
