Get The Look: Spellbound

Marisa Robinson Makeup Artist - Get The Look - Spellbound

I am spellbound by purple perfection that is the Morphe 35P Palette!

Get the look below and find out my secret weapon for getting your eyeshadow on fleek every time!

Hydrate and prep the skin using Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist and then apply Too Faced Primed and Poreless Primer to the entire face to create a smooth base and to reduce any visible pores.

Dot Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation to the face and blend in with a damp Beauty Blender.

Conceal under the eyes and using Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer and set using the Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette shade 'Lyric' with the tapered end of the Contour brush. Set the rest of your face with a translucent powder.

Bronze the face using Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer in 'Luminous Bronze Light' and contour the cheekbones and sides of the nose using the Kat Von D Shade and Light Palette. Then define the contour and bake using a dry Beauty Blender and Eve Lom Mineral Powder Foundation

Add some colour to your cheeks by mixing 'Mood Exposure' and 'Dim Light' from the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit Palette and using a fan brush lightly highlight the tops of the cheekbones, cupids bow and brow bone with 'Champagne Pop' from Becca Cosmetics

Shape and feather the brows using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in 'Medium Brown' and then with an angle brush fill in using the Taupe shadow form the Bobbi Brown Brow Kit. Lightly apply the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel to hold natural brow hairs in place.

To define the brows and brow bone take the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer on an angled concealer brush and lightly apply under the brows and blend out.

Apply Lorac Behind The Scenes Eye Primer on the eyelids to create a smooth base and once dry take a flat brush and pat the white shade from the Morphe 35P Palette (top row, first shadow - see the circled shades below used to create this look) over the entire lid.

I then apply my secret weapon to getting precise eyeshadow application - Shadow Shields! This was my first time using them and it made a HUGE difference! Simply peel off the outer tabs and apply under the eye, following the lash line. This acts as a guide for your shadow application and ensures any excess shadow lands on the shield and not your face!

With a small fluffy brush apply the light mauve shade (from the same palette - second row, third shadow) to the mobile lid and into the crease to create a transition shade. Go backwards and forwards in the crease in a fast, light handed motion to fuse with the white base.

Pick up the black shade (fifth row, fourth shadow) with a flat shader brush and apply it to the outer mobile lid. Take a clean fluffy brush and work over the crease to fuse it in with the mauve shade. Then with the same shader brush apply the dark plum shade (fourth row, fifth shade) over the top of the black and blend again.

To add some sparkle to the look pack the light purple shimmer shade (top row, sixth shade) onto the main mobile lid stopping just before the black on the outer mobile lid. Then get a clean fluffy brush and lightly work over crease to fuse all the shades together.

Using a pencil brush apply the same dark plum shade (fourth row, fifth shade) to the lower lash line, starting in the middle and working your way out. Then pick up the mauve shade as used in the crease and work it in from the middle to the inner corner, blending it in with the dark plum.

To give the illusion of brighter, wider eyes lightly apply the gold shadow (second row, first shade) to the inner corner area of the eye.

Create a winged eye line using Sephora Liquid Liner (the Shadow Shield will have created the perfect line guide!) and coat the lashes with Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara before applying SocialEyes 'Ravishing' Lashes to add some lash drama!

To define the lash line and hide the lash band, sweep the Sephora Liquid Liner over the top lash line.

Line the lips using Mecca Cosmetica Line and Prime Artistry Lip Liner and then vamp up the look with Melt 'Dark Room' Lipstick!
