May Favourites

Marisa Robinson Makeup Artist May Favourites

'May' I introduce to you last month's favourites?
(Pun intended!)

Natasha Denona Paletta 5 Eyeshadow Palette #2
I had on good authority that these shadows were game changing and they weren't wrong! I have been using this palette on myself and my clients and the results are perfection! I love the combination of matte and shimmer shades and the colour pay off is amazing! I think I am going to invest in the big palette next!

Jurlique Rose Shower Gel
The smell, the suds - I can't say I've ever been this excited about a shower gel before! The rose scent is subtly sweet and a couple of pumps into my loofah is all I need for a soapy shower and soft, cleansed skin.

Inglot blending brush 4SS
If you saw my must-have makeup brushes post you would have spotted this beauty. It perfectly blends out any harsh lines and fuses shades seamlessly together - it is definitely my ride or die makeup brush!

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara
They say you don't know what you've got until it's gone - this might sound dramatic when talking about a mascara but when I ran out of my Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara that's exactly how I felt! This mascara is more than a favourite, it's a holy grail, so I was so happy to buy a new one last month and have it back in my life for longer, luscious lashes!

If you haven't tried Better Than Sex mascara I definitely recommend you give it a go! I was a little sceptical at first but this has quickly become my go to mascara as it creates amazing volume and really lengthens my lashes. If you want to try it before committing to the full size, Too Faced have released a 'Totally Obsessed' pack which includes a Better Than Sex Mascara mini as well as more of my Too Faced must-haves including the Hangover Face Primer and Melted Liquid Lipstick all for $36! Such awesome value!

Johnson's Daily Essentials Refreshing Face Cleansing Wipes
I have been using these wipes for years and I fall in love with them a little bit more every time I use them! They cleanse the skin while removing makeup including waterproof mascara - can I get a hallelujah - and I like to use these wipes as step 1 in my end of day makeup removal regimen. I start with the wipes, follow with miceller water on a cotton pad and then wash my face with cleanser and warm water. It cleans the day away and leaves my face feeling fresh and ready for a sweet slumber!

HOT TIP - I like to keep a back up supply and the triple value pack will ensure you are never without these must-have wipes!

IT Cosmetics Eyelift In A Tube
Meet the dream team which brings my tired eyes to life: the award winning IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer on one end and Hello Light Liquid Brightener on the other. The formula of this concealer is amazing and completely covers any dark circles or blemishes. I often find that some concealers don't really provide enough coverage but Bye Bye Under Eye works like a treat. I simply use the wand to apply a few strokes under each eye and then use a beauty blender to blend out. Once I have applied my concealer and foundation I then apply the Hello Light Liquid Brightener under the eyes, on the bridge of my nose and on the tops of my cheekbones and blend out for a brighter, more radiant complexion.

NARS X Steven Klein 'One Shocking Moment' Palette
I believe this palette was limited edition but the blush inside it which I cannot get enough of (which you can buy separately) is the shade 'Luster'. I have naturally rosey cheeks so I try to avoid adding pinks or too much colour but this sheer golden apricot shade has a hint of shimmer and adds a beautiful glow and warmth to my cheeks without being too much. The palette also contains cult classic bronzer 'Laguna' which I love using to warm up my face.

If you want a similar palette you can get the NARSissist Cheek Studio Palette which contains a few of the same shades and other beautiful blushes.

Too Faced Perfect Lips Lip Liner - Nude
If I am wearing a nude lipstick chances are I have lined or filled my lips using the Too Faced Perfect Lips Lip Liner. I love how the formula glides on and doesn't grab unlike some other lip pencils and it twists up so there is no need for sharpening. I also like to wear this liner solo for a matte nude lip look.
