Natural Instinct Skincare - 6 Week Trial + Review

Marisa Robinson Beauty Natural Instinct Skincare

A lot of people ask what my secret is to a flawless base when it comes to my makeup application and if I've said it once I will say it again: it is all in your skincare routine and base prep. Think of your skin as a blank canvas, the more you care for and nourish your skin the smoother and clearer your base will be which in turn will create the perfect canvas for your makeup look.

When it comes to my skincare routine there are a few steps I do morning and night without fail and that is cleanse, moisturise and eye cream/serum. This has been my go to routine for the past couple of years but of course I like to mix up my products from time to time.

Which brings me to this post and what skincare I have currently been using to get my skin looking and feeling fabulous. I decided to trial the Natural Instinct skincare range for 6 weeks and use products only from their range as part of my daily skincare routine.

But before I share my 3 step skincare routine and results let's talk about the Natural Instinct philosophy. Natural Instinct is an Australian skin and hair care brand with over a decade’s worth of experience in bringing natural beauty products to Australian homes. They are committed to providing natural skincare solutions formulated with the finest plant-derived ingredients, certified organic extracts and pure essential oils and do not test on animals and use palm oil and derivatives  only from sustainable sources. I not only love that their range is easily accessible in store and online but that it is affordable making it perfect for the whole family!

From the 3 key products I am about to share I had only used the cleanser before while the serum and eye cream are brand new on the market which I have been trying for the first time. During this 6 week period I only used a couple of hydrating face masks which were from other brands.

Natural Instinct Foaming Facial Cleanser
I love this cleanser, so much so that I am almost at the end of the tube! I like to use this as step 1 in my skincare routine morning and night by applying it to my wet face and neck and then using a konjac sponge to gently massage it in a circular motion. I find the konjac sponge helps to build a thick foamy lather and really works the cleanser into the skin, gently exfoliating as it cleanses. Once done I rinse it off with warm water and pat my face and neck dry with a clean towel.

The Natural Instinct Foaming Facial Cleanser is boosted with natural antioxidants and vitamins to deeply clean pores and remove impurities from the skin. This cleanser:
- Builds into a foamy lather and a little bit goes a long way.
- Has a subtle scent and is not overpowering.
- Is free from parabens and is pH balanced.

Natural Instinct Plump and Renew Serum - NEW
Step 2 is the new Natural Instinct Plump and Renew Serum. I dispense a few pumps of the serum onto my fingertips and massage it onto my cleansed face and neck. This multi action serum is packed with Saccharide Isomerate for intense hydration, Echinacea Purpurea Extract to assist with anti ageing, Argan Oil to help plump the skin and Liquorice Extract to brighten the skin and promote an even skin tone. This plump and renew serum:
- Absorbs quickly into the skin
- Has a firming feeling which is comfortable and does not make the skin feel too tight.
- Leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated.
- It has a subtle scent and has not reacted negatively with my skin.

Natural Instinct Dark Circle and Wrinkle Correction Eye Creme - NEW
Last but not least is the eyes. I am in my early 30's and I have been using eye creams and serums for years to try and prevent wrinkles and fine lines around my eyes. The Natural Instinct Dark Circle and Wrinkle Correction Eye Creme is fantastic and I have noticed a considerable difference in the smoothness around my eyes since using it. I squeeze a small amount of cream onto my ring finger and massage it under and around my eyes in a gentle, circular motion. I like to take it a bit further down my cheeks and also out to my temples to ensure the area around my eyes is completely covered. It is hard to say whether this has reduced the dark circles under my eyes as I generally have quite late nights but the skin around my eyes certainly looks and feels smoother and appears firmer.
- Within the first week I noticed the skin around my eyes was smoother and more hydrated.
- It does not irritate or sting around my eyes like other eye serums have.
- After application the creme absorbs quickly into my skin and has a firming finish.
- It doesn't have an offensive scent and is Vegan friendly.

The Natural Instinct Skincare range is available on their website or at your nearest Priceline store.
Plus for every product sold online from Oct 24 to Nov 5 on the Natural Instinct website they will donate $1 to the Australian Breast Cancer Network. Such a fantastic cause and initiative which makes me feel even prouder to support this brand.
