Swatch Session // Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Swatches
Are you a Makeup Geek?
After posting a picture of my latest Makeup Geek haul on Instagram I have received so many requests for shade names, links and swatches so I am here to share my collection with you so you can shop your favourite shades too!
You could say I am obsessed with these shadows. They are perfectly pigmented, blend beautifully and come in every colour of the rainbow! Another great thing to mention is that Makeup Geek shadows are not tested on animals and are talc and paraben-free! YAY!
Makeup Geek Eyeshadows are a must have for makeup artists and makeup lovers alike. Apart from having great colour pay off, I love that these shadows come in a variety of finishes. From matte to demi matte, satin matte, slight shimmers, frosty shimmers and metallics - there is a finish to create endless looks and styles.
I currently have my M.U.G Eyeshadows stored in 2 large Z-Palettes (see below for more info on Z-Palettes) one with cooler shades and the other with warmer shades.
All swatches and photos below have been taken in natural lighting and no filters have been applied.
What's in my palette?
Makeup Geek also have a range of Foiled Eyeshadows which are highly pigmented shadows with a metallic finish. I love the creamy formula and the intense looks which can be created with only a single swipe. I also like packing these shadows on top of my regular Makeup Geek Eyeshadows to create dimension or add a glam sheen.
What's in my palette?
I store all my Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in Z-Palettes. I really love these palettes as they allow me to organise and arrange my Makeup Geek Eyeshadows exactly how I like them. They are especially ideal when I am doing a makeup job or travelling as I only take the shadows I know I will need and use. My only gripe with these palettes (and this is the O.C.D in me) is that when you arrange your shadows 7 to a row the bottom row will only hold 6 and they don't line up (I know, first world problems!).
Z-Palettes are empty palettes with a magnetic base which allow you to organise, customise and store your eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers and powders. Available in a range of sizes, colours and patterns, you simply place and arrange your makeup pans within the palette. Each palette also comes with metal stickers so if your shadow pans don't have a magnetic base you can simply stick these to the bottom to start storing them in your Z-Palette.
Z-Palettes also have a clear window so you can easily see all of your makeup shades at one glance!
Do you love Makeup Geek Eyeshadows or are there must-have shades on your wish list?
Share your favourites so I can check them out!
