Swatch Session // Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate 15th Anniversary Lipstick Collection

Marisa Robinson Makeup Artist Swatch Session Rimmel Lasting Finish 15th Anniversary Lipstick Collection

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the most successful, unrivalled partnership in the beauty world. Rimmel and Kate Moss introduce a special-edition lip collection in Kate’s favourite reds and nudes.

In this swatch session I am going to share my first impressions and swatches of the collection.

If you are a regular on my blog or social media you will know that the Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate 'Nude Collection' #45 is one of my ride or die nude lipsticks so I was extremely excited to try the anniversary collection, especially the nudes!

But before I give you my first impressions I wanted to share some information about the range I received direct from Rimmel:
• High-intensity colour formula infused with light-reflecting Black Diamonds.
• Long-lasting colour - up to 8 hours wear.
• Smooth, creamy texture for comfortable wear all day long.

Before you even open the lipstick you are greeted by a beautiful Rose Gold Limited Edition Case. I am sure I can speak for most beauty lovers that rose gold accents

I was lucky enough to receive 5 of the 6 new shades to try and review and below are the swatches, shade names (in order from left to right) and how each colour is inspired by Kate's iconic London Looks.

#52 Idol Red
Inspired by Kate’s love of playful and rebellious fashion, Idol Red #52 is a lush, vibrant red for a daring, cutting-edge look.

#53 Retro Red
Exuding vintage glamour, Retro Red #53 is a sumptuous berry red that reflects the revamped ‘40s and ‘50s retro style that Kate adores.

#54 Rock n Roll Nude
Kate’s renowned rock chick style is captured by Rock N Roll Nude #54, a peach-tinted neutral for party girls everywhere. Wear with smoky eyes and a wild-child attitude.

#55 My Nude
Taking inspiration from Kate’s everyday street look, My Nude #55 is a beige nude shade for understated casual chic. Team with a blazer for a dash of Kate’s nonchalant cool.

#56 Boho Nude
Boho Nude #56 is a warm caramelised nude that complements Kate’s laid-back boho look. She says: “My secret to pared-back boho beauty is natural, earthy shades. I love how the caramel tones of Boho Nude lipstick warm my skin.”

If you watch my video above you will see me wearing shade #54 Rock n Roll Nude and other than being a beautifully creamy, pigmented lipstick it was definitely long lasting. In the 5-6 hours I was wearing it I only reapplied once and that was after I ate lunch. It was also challenging removing the swatches from the back of my hand (especially the red shades) using micellar water so if you are looking for a lipstick that lasts this is the collection for you!

I love that these lipsticks are easily accessible and you can pick them up from your nearest Priceline, Big W, Woolworths, Chemist Warehouse and they retail for only $13.95! This is amazing value for a quality, perfectly pigmented lipstick and I definitely plan on picking up some back ups of the nude shades so I am never without!
